Overview

A media brand wanted a owned community space beyond third-party platforms. itechvertical delivered web and mobile apps with feeds, groups, live chat, and moderation tooling that could scale with viral moments.

The challenge

• Real-time messaging at high concurrency without dropped connections
• Content moderation workflows for staff and community leaders
• Discovery features that surface relevant groups and conversations
• Privacy controls and reporting flows users could trust

Our approach

We built a React Native app and responsive web client on a Node.js backend with WebSocket channels. Moderation queues, automated flagging, and admin analytics shipped alongside the member experience.

• Topic-based feeds with algorithmic and chronological modes

• Push notifications and in-app message delivery
